वो नीली वर्दी फिर से पहनना चाहता हूँ,
वहां बीते हर सुनहरे सपने मे दौड़ना चाहता हूँ,
देखना चाहता हूँ , वहां बीते हर पल को फिर से,
वहां बीती अपनी अनमोल खुशियाँ बटोरना चाहता हूँ|

वो सहमे हुए पल जैसे बीते हो कल,
रैगिंग के उन लम्हों मे फिर से खड़ा होना चाहता हूँ,
दोस्ती के पहली बार छलके गिलास फिर से छलकाना चाहता हूँ,
उन सहमे पलों की मस्ती फिर से करना चाहता हूँ|

वो नीली वर्दी फिर से पहनना चाहता हूँ,

वो सीनियर बनने का अहसास,
वो बर्थडे की मार,
वो काउंटर स्ट्राइक का खुमार,
वो पहला पहला प्यार,
वो रेस्पोसिब्लिलिटी का भार, फिर एक बार देखना चाहता हूँ,
उन प्यारे सपनो को एक माला मे पिरोना चाहता हूँ|

वो नीली वर्दी फिर से पहनना चाहता हूँ,

डाल हाथों मे हाथ, अपने बैच को लिए साथ,
क्लास बंक कर, शिप्रा घूमने जाना चाहता हूँ,
उन हसीन पलों मे, पार्टी करना चाहता हूँ,
अपने दोस्तों के साथ बिताये, हर पल को फिर से जीना चाहता हूँ|

Tragedy King ===> Lee

All of you must be familier with our tragedy king Lee. Wierd things always happens with him everytime, everywhere. Here, I would like to describe one of the happenings. We 5ive went to Pragati Maidaan to see the Trade fair'08. We were roaming here and there and enjoying the outing. I wanted to visit the defence hall to see guns, missiles etc. ,everyone agreed. But for the time being, Navankur wanted to visit 'Gram Darshan' but I wasn't interested in it, so we got divided into two groups. Mabbo went with Navankur, rest three of us were together. We decided to meet at Defence Hall after half an hour. We three went to a small chandni chowk kind of market. There was a shop of furniture we rested there and enjoyed "aam papad". Me and Simmy decided to visit the hall of Andhara Pradesh Both of us left from there but lazy Lee was still having rest. Instead of going staight towards the AP hall, we went to other Hall. But when we came back to pick Lee, he wasn't there. Now Lee was alone. We tried to call him, but you know he is Lee......The Tragedy KIng, tragedies always happens with him and this time, no exception. His Mobile's battery was low and mobile got switched off. We tried many times but all in vain. As it was decided to meet at the defence hall after half an hour, we thought he'll also be there if he has a li'l of common sense . So me and simmy went there and as planned Mabbo and Navankur were already there. The only person missing, yes yes Lee. But still there was a hope that if we can't call him, atleast he can call us from any PCO. But you know where there is "Lee", there is "tragedy". He didn't remember anyone's mobile number out of four. With d last hope we started the search operation "Mission Lee". We decided that Mabbo and Navnakur wait outside defence hall incase he comes to defence hall. Simmy and me left to search Lee in the same market where we left him and it was half a mile away from the defence hall. But still we have to manage that.We searched him everywhere but we were not able to find him. Atlast we gave up and thought to wait for him outside the defence hall because we were very tired and also this was our second round. On our way back to defence hall we got a call from Navankur that Lee is there with them. I took a stick from the neem tree to beat him. When we reached there without listening any word from him me and Simmy started hitting him with stick. But you know after all this happened still he has the same smile on his face with no regrets. He grinned and told us he went to AP hall while we all were worried about him. I forgot my anger after seeing his face because whatever happens with him he accept it with the same smile and I like the way he acts on these tragedies. The secret is he never took them seriously and acted normally. Dude you rock and I hope this smile will be eternal.

किसी में कुछ अलग खूबी है,

और किसी में कुछ अलग टेलेंट II

इतनी साड़ी लड़कियां और एक बेचारा दिल,

मुश्किल में हूँ बताओ क्या करूँ?

कोई नाराज़ न हो जाए,

सबको कैसे खुश रखूं?

अब तक तो सबकुछ मस्ती और मज़ाक था,

कोई सीरिअसनेस नहीं बस टाइमपास थाII

पर इस बार मैं सीरियस हूँ,

Wait a second more before saying "Cheers to 2009!"

On December 31 midnight, you will have an extra second to usher in the New Year, because a “Leap Second” will be added to 2008 to let a lagging Earth catch up to super-accurate clocks.

Leap seconds are added to keep the atomic clocks synchronized with the Earth's rotation. This is because the Earth rotates at a slower pace over time while the atomic clocks do not slow down. Therefore, the leap second adjusts the clocks to ensure that civil time (used by clocks) is as close as possible to mean solar time (the mean sun’s hour angle).

The International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems Service is the organization that monitors the difference in the two timescales and calls for leap seconds to be inserted or removed when necessary. Since 1972, leap seconds have been added at intervals varying from six months to seven years.

Leap seconds are inserted at the end of June or December as an additional second after 23:59:59 UTC (Universal Time Coordinated). The additional second is the 61st second of the last minute of the month, and it is written as 23:59:60 (or 11:59:60 PM in 12-hour format). This is the 24th leap second to be added since the first leap second was added in 1972. This is also the first leap second in three years. The most recent was inserted on Dec. 31, 2005.

That extra second will make 2008 — already long with an extra day on Feb 29 — the longest year since 1992.

Today we know that Christ was not born on the 25th of December. The date was chosen to coincide with the pagan Roman celebrations honouring Saturnus (the harvest god) and Mithras (the ancient god of light), a form of sun worship. These celebrations came on or just after the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere, to announce that winter is not forever, that life continues, and an invitation to stay in good spirit.

Christmas is celebrated throughout the Christian population, but is also celebrated by many non-Christians as a secular, cultural festival. The holiday is celebrated around the world.

It is an interesting fact to note that the celebration of Christmas in India is held in a different manner in the various parts of the country. The way Christmas is celebrated in the North East is completely different from the way Christmas is celebrated in the South West.

Midnight mass is a very important service for Christians in India, especially Catholics. The whole family will walk to the mass and this will be followed by a massive feast of different delicacies, (mostly curries) and the giving and receiving of presents. Churches in India are decorated with Poinsettia flowers and candles for the Christmas Eve Midnight Mass service. One of the most famous locations for celebration of Christmas in India is Goa.

Instead of having traditional Christmas Trees, a banana or mango tree is decorated. Sometimes people use mango leaves to decorate their homes.

In Southern India, Christians often put small oil burning clay lamps on the flat roofs of their homes to show their neighbours that Jesus is the light of the world.

In north-west India, the tribal Christians of the Bhil folk, go out night after night for a week at Christmas to sing their own carols the whole night through. They go to surrounding villages singing to people and telling the Christmas story.

Breaking news: 2 injured in brutal beating @ JIITU, Noida

Last night 2 people got injured in brutal beating @ H-5, JIITU, Noida campus @ around 12 a.m. It appears that the crowd was celebrating a birthday and then this incident took place. The two guys who got injured are Gomes and Ajeet Mishra.
According to our reliable sources, people were frustrated because of their exams, were celebrating Gomes’s birthday. It was his last birthday in the hostel, so they took this opportunity with both hands. They beat him with wet and dry paper rolls, sleepers, hands and kicks. Gomes got seriously injured in an hour of merciless beating. Ajeet came there to give him best wishes but unfortunately came into the firing line, as he was too having his birthday, the last night. People took both of them to a corner and beat them madly with paper rolls.
According to an eyewitness, the crowd really enjoyed the incident. He said that no one has got beaten up so much and by so many people like this ever before. The crowd took the snaps and even made videos of the whole incident. They applied shoe polish, shaving gel and foam to his face and on the clothes. There was a sign of relief and complete satisfaction @ each and everyone’s face after putting them to ground.
After this 1 hour of beating, crowd took him to his room and again started beating him. They covered him with a blanket and kicked him; crowd also beat him with pillows. They made him to do cat walk on ramp and asked him to do a dance no., he had no other choice but to do it.
A case has been filed against Kshitij Jain, Nikunj Jain, Abhishek Agrawal, Ankit Sangwan, Navankur Gupta, Seemant Yadav, Deepak Prajapati, Bharat Kapoor, Shubham Maheshwari, Vipul Shrivastava and many others for their involvement in such brutal beating.

The fallen mango

I think we have developed some kind of habit that wherever we go, we used to get indulge in some situations which not only bring laughs to our faces but to others as well and makes a place in our long lasting memories.

This was an incident when I with my friends Vishwas and Indrajeet returning from the market, we decided to have mango-shake. We stopped at a roadside shop, I was giving the order while they both were standing at a distance. Suddenly they saw a mango on the roadside; may be fallen off from the shop, they decided to pick it up and return it back to the shakewala. Vishwas went to pick it up; he picked it up but again kept it back there and came back and told Indu that “wo keechad mein padha hai, main nahi utha raha, tujhe uthana hai to utha le”. Indu was surprised because it was on the concrete road and there was no keechad at all. Then Indu went to pick it up, he picked it up but he also kept it back there. By the time, mango-shake was ready and I brought it to them. I had no idea about that fallen mango. They told me about that mango. It brought the patent kamini smile on my face. I became excited and suggested to take it to our room and enjoy it there, they both were looking at me and thinking that, “Hum to waapas karne ki soch rahe the aur yeh khud khane ki” A mysterious smile came on to their face. We started to drink our mango-shake, they both were drinking it slowly and I was having it at my normal speed. I finished first; they asked me since you have finished, then go and pick up the mango.

I went there in style, looked here and there and bend myself as if to tie the shoe-lace. They both were smiling and looking each other. I picked up the mango and they both erupted into laughter. Hadd hoti hai katne ki……….it was a Plastic Mango……lolzzzzzzzz.

What more to say, three of us were laughing madly, remembering each other’s expressions and the whole incident. We narrated this event to all of our friends and no one could stop from laughing.

There are few learnings from the incident

1. Sadak par giri huyi vastu nahi uthani chahiye.

2. Aam hamesha khareedkar khana chahiye.

Children’s Day was first celebrated in the year 1954, as decided by the UN General Assembly. The idea of Universal Children's Day was mooted by Mr. V.K. Krishna Menon and adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1954. Till the 1959 it was universally celebrated in the month of October.

But after 1959, 20th November was chosen for the celebration of Children’s Day, as this date marks the anniversary of the day in 1959, when the Declaration of the Rights of the Child was adopted by the U.N. General Assembly adopted. In 1989 the Convention on the Rights of the Child was signed on the same date. The main objective of this day was to promote the welfare of children and communal exchange among them in all over the world.

Children's day, in hindi known as "Bal Diwas", in India falls on November 14th every year and for good reason. After the death of Jawaharlal Nehru in 1963, his birthday has been celebrated as children's Day in India. In India this day is not a day to let the future generation have its say. It is a day to remember the great leader Jawaharlal Nehru who was a versatile genius and had the determination to lead India as a world power in the world map.Children's day in India is celebrated on Pandit Nehru's birthday as a day of fun and frolic, a celebration of childhood, children and Nehruji's love for them.

As a tribute to this great man and his love for the children, his birthday is celebrated all over India as ‘CHILDREN’S DAY’.

Sometimes don't know what happens to me that I act strangely, I don't know why, but whatever, that's me. So this is the description of one of the incident of my insanity. This time I was trying to have bet with anyone for anything and anywhere. In the morning when me, navankur and mabbo we were heading towards the class I just saw navankur jumping and just trying to grab some leaves of a tree. I immediately said to navankur that if he will grab those leaves (that are out of reach of him) then I will buy him a cold drink. Navankur disagreed then I said ok get those ones that are little down but still he refused and he tried and guess what, he just got them if he would have tried little harder. Anyways at that time my Rs.20 got saved. Then I said to him that ok I will grab those leaves which are higher than I offered to him, he refused so anyhow at that time we didn't have any bet. But you know that insect of bet was still inside me and was encouraging me to do something insane.In the evening we (v5 except nik) went to shipra suncity to have something, since the lunch was really crap.We had chhole bhature and after that we went to juice parlor to have mango shake. Suddenly I saw a very huge glass and instantly an idea struck my mind and I asked navankur if he can drink that glass of mango shake then I will pay for the shake and also pay him RS 50 more,but my heart wasnt big enough so i asked simmy and mabbo if they want to be the part of the bet, mabbo refused but simmy agreed to be my 50% partner in the bet.So finally we had the bet.I was fully assured that navankur not gonna make it after having one plate of chhole bhature it looks impossible to me as the quantity of the glass was 1.2 litre. Navankur started having the shake with help of straw and guess what happened he was
drinking it very easily. Simmy said "sale marwa diya, lagwadi Rs.100 ki chepi".And he was right navankur drank that 1.2 liter of mango shake very easily.I was really amazed at his capacity. I myself cant even imagine of drinking it. But whatever, finally we lost the bet. I did not regret for loosing the bet and guess what I again asked navankur can you have one more glass lagi 100 ki...... lol

Matki fod @ JIITU

Inspired by the Matki Fod event of Mumbai, some people decided to organize an event of Matki Fod during our annual fest “JIVE’ 06”. My batch mates were very eager to participate in this event because other batches were preparing for this event and my batch also does not want to be behind. Actually everyone wants to remove the “Padhaku” tag, which had been labeled onto our batch in the Ist year. The event required a team of 18 members, 15 people to make tower and 3 supporters. They selected me to be at the top (I think u know why), since no one else was ready for that, so finally I agreed. Haan to bol diya but I was really scared.

After the class, everyone was in the ground to make the tower and to practice for the final event. There was a huge discussion and ultimately the design for the tower was decided (8+4+2+1). The selected stronger and healthy ones were at the bottom, while the less strong ones were over them. I was to be at the 4^th level. After completing the two levels, people of the 3^rd level were ready to climb, others were helping them to reach there, but I was just praying ki yeh level na ban paaye……….and I think God was with me that day. As soon as the 3^rd level completed, the first level people got misbalanced and within a second they all were down……Only I knew how happy I was at that time.

But they all got up, tried again, first, second and then 3^rd level was completed now its time for me to climb to the top, they were looking for me but I wasn’t there, I was running for my life. The supporters ran after me and tried to catch me, but till the time they succeeded, the tower was down. This way I saved my life for one more time. But everyone was mad at me, they all were shouting at me. Now one of them holds me so that I couldn’t run away. They again and again tried to make the tower but sometimes they could reach upto the second level and sometimes till the 3^rd level, but mera number aane se pehle hi, they all were on the ground. The rest of the guys were busy in taking snaps, we tried for two hours but were not able to make the complete tower for once. Some of them were upset, some were unhappy, some were wanted to give a try for one more time……..but seriously guys I was the happiest person on that day after all jaan jo bach gayi thi yaar. The “padhaku” tag given to our batch was proved right once again…….but after a while everyone was looking cool and happy….because at least we gave a try. That evening was full of masti n mazaa and full of fun, we really enjoyed each and every moment of that evening.

India is a land of Festivals. Many festivals are celebrated here with great pomp and show. Each festival has a religious or mythological significance behind it. Diwali is one of them. It is the festival of lights. It is celebrated for 5ive days. It falls in the month of October or early November.

Diwali in history

The history of Diwali is replete with legends and these legends are moored to the stories of Hindu religious scriptures, mostly the Puranas. Though the central theme of all legends point out to the classic truth of the victory of the good over the evils, the mode of their presentation and the characters differ. Diwali, being the festival of lights, lighting the lamp of knowledge within us means to understand and reflect upon the significant purpose of each of the five days of festivities and to bring those thoughts in to the day to day lives.

The five day of Diwali

The first day of Diwali is called Dhanvantari Triodasi or Dhanwantari Triodasi also called Dhan Theras. The second day of Diwali is called Narak Chaturdasi. It is the fourteenth lunar day (thithi) of the dark forthnight of the month of Kartik and the eve of Diwali. On this day Lord Krishna destroyed the demon Narakasur and made the world free from fear. The third day of Diwali is the actual Diwali. This is the day when worship for Mother Lakshmi is performed. On the fourth day of Diwali, Goverdhan Pooja is performed. The fifth day of the diwali is called Bhratri Dooj. It is a day dedicated to sisters.

Hindu Mythology

The Story of Rama and Sita: Lord Rama was a great warrior King who was exiled by his father Dashratha, the King of Ayodhya, along with his wife Sita and his younger brother Lakshman, on his wife's insistence. Lord Rama returned to his Kingdom Ayodhya after 14 years of exile, in which he put an end to the demon Ravana of Lanka, who was a great Pundit, highly learned but still evil dominated his mind. After this victory of Good over Evil, Rama returned to Ayodhya. In Ayodhya, the people welcomed them by lighting rows of clay lamps. So, it is an occasion in honor of Rama's victory over Ravana; of Truth's victory over Evil.

The Story of King Bali and Vamana Avatar(the Dwarf): The other story concerns King Bali, who was a generous ruler. But he was also very ambitious. Some of the Gods pleaded Vishnu to check King Bali's power. Vishnu came to earth in the form of a Vamana(dwarf) dressed as priest. The dwarf approached King Bali and said "You are the ruler of the three worlds: the Earth, the world above the skies and the underworld. Would you give me the space that I could cover with three strides?" King Bali laughed. Surely a dwarf could not cover much ground, thought the King, who agreed to dwarf's request. At this point, the dwarf changed into Vishnu and his three strides covered the Earth, the Skies and the whole Universe! King Bali was send to the underworld. As part of Diwali celebrations, some Hindus remember King Bali.

The Defeat of Narkasur by Lord Krishna: Lord Vishnu in his 8th incarnation as Krishna destroyed the demon Narkasura, who was causing great unhappiness amongst the people of the world. Narkasura was believed to be a demon of filth, covered in dirt. He used to kidnap beautiful young women and force them to live with him. Eventually, their cries for rescue were heard by Vishnu, who came in the form of Krishna. First, Krishna had to fight with a five-headed monster who guarded the demon's home. Narkasura hoped that his death might bring joy to others. Krishna granted his request and the women were freed. For Hindus, this story is a reminder that good can still come out of evil.

Krishna and The Mountain: In the village of Gokula, many years ago, the people prayed to the God Indra. They believed that Indra sent the rains, which made their crops, grow. But Krishna came along and persuaded the people to worship the mountain Govardhan, because the mountain and the land around it were fertile. This did not please Indra. He sent thunder and torrential rain down on the village. The people cried to Krishna to help. Krishna saved the villagers by lifting the top of the mountain with his finger. The offering of food to God on this day of Diwali is a reminder to Hindus of the importance of food and it is a time for being thankful to God for the bounty of nature.

Sikh Festival Diwali

In Sikh perspective, Diwali is celebrated as the return of the sixth Guru, Guru Hargobind Ji from the captivity of the city, Gwalior. To commemorate his undying love for Sikhism, the towns people lit the way to, Harmandhir Sahib (referred to as the Golden Temple), in his honour.

Jain Festival Diwali

Among the Jain festivals, Diwali is one of the most important one। For on this occasion we celebrate the Nirvana of Lord Mahavira who established the dharma as we follow it. Lord Mahavira was born as Vardhamana on Chaitra Shukla 13th in the Nata clan at Khattiya-kundapura, near Vaishali. He obtained Kevala Gyana on Vishakha Shukla 10 at the Jambhraka village on the banks of Rijukula river at the age of 42.

Chhota Recharge

Sometimes this chota recharge matters a lot,in times of crisis try to apply this thing in ur life it's really helpful.....we 5ive applied it in our hostel life.

When we came back from home after the holidays everyone bring some home made eatable items like laddoo mathhii, etc. but these things usually get finished with in a week.Now what to do, when we feel hungry at night? No prob after all we all are engineers so everyone keep few things in reserve, like 2-3 ladoos, a few matthi and acharr, namkeen etc and these are
called chhota recharge of hostel life.

Why we call it chhota recharge?
When people are 5 and laddoo 2, then we can manage with half-half piece.
Same thing applied with mathhhi, evryone gets 1-2 piece of mathi and sometime we have to manage with the crushed pieces which left in the box at bottem :D ..... this is called chhota recharge of hostel life.

When these home made items gets finished till the root, then last option is maggie. If we have 3-4 maggies then no problem but problem arises when we don't have maggie and after serching a lot we get 1 Maggie from someone, but problem hai to solution to hoga hi and solution is sharing aur bus kisi tarah thodi si bhook mita lena and finally recharged for doing masti again...this is called chhota recharge of hostel life.

U all must have heard "Bada hai to behatar hai"
Size does matter but sometime size doesn't matter .. as in hostel....chhota recharge is the real life saver.

जो पढ़ते नहीं कभी, उनके हाथों मे अखबारों का बण्डल है ,
Dustbin के पानी को कहते, गंगाजल से भरा कमंडल है --

गार्ड और वार्डेन की याद आई जाती है |

इन हूँकारो मे चिंख मेरी दब जाती है,
इन कठोर लम्हों मे सांसे मेरी थम जाती है ..........

ठंडे -ठंडे पानी से नहलाया जाता है,
मार्च के महीने मे मुझे जमाया जाता है |

उस काली पौलिश से मेरा तिलक किया जाता है -
मेरी Shaving Cream , tooth Paste का ,
मुझ पर हे ग़लत Use किया जाता है ..........

भगवान ने जो चीज़ बैठने को बनाई ,
उस पर आज इन हैवानों ने गीले अखबारों से आग लगायी -

मेरा हर पुर्जा-पुर्जा करहा रहा है
इन हैवानों मे किसी दोस्त को बुला रहा है
परन्तु,
मेरी सबसे अच्छा दोस्त भी
मेरी तसरीफ पर चटाके उड़ा रहा है --

12 :30 a.m. Birthday
भगवान ने देर से ही सही, पर मेरी सुन ली
अचानक से लात घूसों के बारिश थम ली
तसरीफ को अब जाके कुछ रहत मिली थी
मेरे चेहरे पर अब भी डर की लकीरे पड़ी थी --

अब जाके मुझे "B'day Wishes" मिल रहे थे,
दोस्त थे मेरे, पर कोई गले नहीं मिल रहे थे,
मैं भीगा - गंदगी मे लथपथ खड़ा था
महक रहा ऐसा जैसे सड़ा अंडा पड़ा था |

12 :45 a.m. Birthday
आज दोस्ती का अच्छा सीला मिला था --
१५ मिनट मे नहाने भर का मौका मिला था

सोचा था नहा कर आऊंगा तो-
सभी जा चुके होंगे -
अपनी जीत के खुशिया मना चुके होंगे-

ये क्या ?????????
ये हैवान मेरे ही रूम मे पड़े थे

ये हैवान भी मुझे अब दोस्त से लग रहे थे
क्यूंकि--
वही हैवान हाथ मे केक लिए खड़े थे |

केक काटा -
खाया-
खिलाया -
उससे ज्यादा केक मेरे मुंह पर लगाया -
मुझे कोल्ड ड्रिंक से भी नहलाया -

हैवानियत के अवतार इस दोस्त मे
उसका प्यार नजर आया --
उसके मीठे केक ने सारा दर्द भगाया -
उस मर मे भी उनका प्यार नजर आया -
ऐसे दोस्तों के साथ -
हॉस्टल मे अपना जन्मदिन मनाया ||

Dussehra - Vijaya Dashmi !!

Dussehra is celebrated on the tenth day of the bright fortnight (Shukla Paksha) of the Hindu autumn of Ashvin or Ashwayuja, and is the grand culmination of the 10-day annual Navratri festival.It is the largest festival of Nepal . On the day of Dussehra, Ram killed Ravan who had abducted Ram's wife Sita to his kingdom of Lanka.Lord Ram, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu in the Treta Yug, returned to his capital Ayodhya after the exile of fourteen years and hence forth we celebrate Diwali exactly after 20 days of Dussehra .The way the people celebrate the festival varies from region to region but all of them mark the "victory of the forces of Good over Evil" .

Celebrations
Kullu : A week long fair is organised in kullu as part of the Dussehra celebrations.They pay homage to the reigning deity, Raghunathji.

Mysore : In Mysore, Karnataka the Mysore palace is illuminated for a whole month during Dussehra and caparisoned elephants lead a colourful procession through the gaily-decorated streets of the city. It is the most colourful celebration of Dussehra in world.

South India : In South India, the first three days are dedicated to the worship of Lakshmi, Goddess of wealth and prosperity, the next three days to Saraswati, Goddess of learning and arts and the last three days to Shakti (Durga).

Punjab & Northern India : A 9 day period of Navratri is celebrated and on the 10th day is Vijyadashmi . Navaratri is taken as a period of fasting.In northern India, the festival wears the colourful garb of Ramlila wherein various incidents from Rama's life are enacted.

Gujarat : The evenings and nights are occasions for the fascinating Garba dance. The women dance around an earthen lamp while singing devotional songs accompanied by rhythmic clapping of hands.

Bengal : In bengal this is celebrated as Durga puja . All kinds of large pandals are made where they worship the goddess Durga ,and on the last day the visarjan of the goddess is done .

Dussehra is not just a time to rejoice and burn Ravan putlas and worship the goddess its rather a time to realize what is the actual essence behind all this . Its all about identifying the evil within us and in our surroundings and eleminating them !!

Birds & humans !!!

they look so happy they look so fine

We humans keep crying all the time
oh GOD !! Why do you make us go through all these times

Most of the times we feel He's partial
He made us humans to suffer till death
and made these birds
who are unaware of all these facts

Free to fly here and there
No boundaries , no worries
no tensions no restrictions

but it ain't easy being a bird
no clothes to cover
no place called home
hunting for food all day long
no occasions to cherish
no festivals for fun

Yes they don't have all the comfort's to live
so , why should they go through all those things !!
it's we humans who rule this world
have all the luxury and all the fun
and still not happy with what we have

it's the desire for more that makes us think
the feeling of GREED makes you do those things
the things which shouldn't have been done
and now you wan't to blame it on

just look at yourself what you have become
yes you have become so selfish and mean
that now you wan't it all what others have
& living in this world of GREED
you've become jealous of these free flying birds as well

The day you become satisified ....
satisfied with what you have
and satisified with what you get ...
you'll also be like these birds

He also dosen't wants to punish us
it's we who make him do all those things
it's because he's not partial
that He makes us go through all those things

so let's all of us thank GOD for eveything
just give us one.........one last thing ,

Our Batch Party

Party means celebration of any occasion or event with friends, family.Parties are one of the best part of college life. Celebration of any event with friends like b'day is totally diffrent.Weather they have ny reason or not they always ask for party from u, sometime the reason for askin would be really funny like gf/bf banane ke party, top karne ke party, back clear hone ki party n etc. etc...bcz that is sure ke bdy treat to milni hi hoti hai, so y not try 4 othr reasns...kya
pata kab jackpot lag jaaye aur mess k khane se ek din k liye mukti mil jaaye.

let me discuss wid u our batch parties - batch party means "A treat to 30 students.."
a brief intro of my batch mates -
Babbar family(babbar,Scientiest,raju,gajju,malli),
Pandavas(puri,sagar,pandey,aakash n abhas),
Flyboys(we five,rocker,lakhu n voldemort),
khandi, mendhak,arya,tyagi,kejriwal,seth,subbu
n last but not least harshit n suri(toppersss :))

Our Batch Partyy means ...mass bunk from the classes n labs, n then hang out some where for lunch n movies. Among the 30 students its a big deal to decid where to go or which movie to watch - but somehow we manage(after all we are engineers) and always find a place to go and generally it is shipra mall, pacific,spiece or tot- most of the tym we go to
Biteinn (shipra mall) or food cort(pacific).As we dun hav ny girl in our batch (must read another article - A batch wid out a girl) so imagine the gatherin of 30 guyz dressed in college uniform :D - when we enter in any restro every 1 start looking toward us, the next challenge is to find a place where we all can be seated together,we wait for others to leave the seats and start capturing the places and finally after getting the sufficent tables we call the waitr to join or by ourself we join all the table so that we all can sit together.

Now when time comes to place the order,Navankur and financers wld take the charge and keepn the demand of every 1 in mind they place the orders, whtever we demand, but the order more or less remains the same, the same kadhai paneer, same Dal makhani, chana masala, Malia paneer and sometimes if the financiers are modest, non veggies can have their favorite chickens and mutton. While eating, we always bet who will leave the table 1st, no surprises that hostelers always lose
the bet.The biggest losers are Aman kejriwall ---- yoo ht 6' wt 95 kg and Mendhak --- ht 5'9" wt 50 kg.

Now at the end time came 4 beveragess n financier(birthday boy) start hiding himself :D but kafi jyada negotians ke baad akhir McD ke bahar bechara fas hi jata hai :D

Overall its lots of fun and mastii ........ and for hostelles ..... relief from mess food for 1 day.

Extreme Insanity

If anyone asks me about an unforgettable incident that has happened with me, tab har baar mujhe ek hi raat yaad aati hai, jiska koi record nahi, bas zehen mein hai mere aur un sab logon ke jo us raat ka hissaa bane. It was a Saturday.

We (me, Gomes, Navankur, Simmy, Shubham and Arjit) were returning from Kota after attending Lakhu’s big brother’s wedding. Lakhu and his friends came to the station to drop us there. We had 3 confirmed tickets, while other 3 were waiting. We all were waiting for the train to come.

Train came and we started finding space to keep our luggage. Suddenly Lakhu asked Arjit to stay for 1 more day, he agreed. After that Simmy also decided to stay there for 1 more day. In the meantime, I was arranging the luggage under the seats, Gomes came inside and said, “Hum sab ruk rahe hain, ab kal jaayenge”. I was in a dilemma whether to stay or to go; finally I also decided to wait for a day more , so we started bringing down the luggage from the train. This was the most weird thing that we all have done till now. We were very excited. After getting down we checked our luggage, there was one extra bag. This definitely wasn’t ours. Suddenly train started moving; everyone was shouting,”bag kiska hai?” I rushed into the train and placed the bag at its position and came down again. Bag jiska bhi tha usko pata hi nahi chala, kab uska bag train se neeche aa gaya aur kab waapas apni jagah par. Every passenger was staring at us. We all were continuously laughing, laughing and laughing at our madness.

We came back to Lakhu’s home but no one could dare to go inside. Lakhu went in and told his parents that we hadn’t board our train and all were staying for 1 more day.

Soon after, Navankur and Gomes went to sleep, but rest of us decided to play cricket. I don’t know what happened to all of us that night that we even thought of playing cricket on the main road but finally decided to play in the corridor. We were playing with a plastic ball and were showing no mercy in hitting the ball. We don’t know how Lakhu’s family managed to sleep that night. We were shouting, running, hitting the ball to the gates, windows and walls, but no one asked us to stop and we also were in no mood to sleep that night. We played cricket till 6:00 in the morning. At 6 am we went to bed and slept till 2 pm. Then we got up, had lunch, also helped aunty in arranging bhaiya’s room and watched T-20 match. We left the television only after letting India to victory. Now the time came for us to leave, this time Lakhu was also coming with us, we had 1 confirmed seat, but we got cancelled that one also and decided to go in a general compartment…..lollzz. As expected we didn’t get seat there, we all were sitting at the gate outside the toilets. What a wonderful experience that was…….cool breeze was blowing, the fresh air mixed with the smell of **** was getting into our nose. Seven of us were trying hard to get fit into that confined area. Our legs and hips were paining like hell. To add to the pleasure the movement of passengers on and off the train at every station and also to the toilets never let us to sleep. Sometimes they hit us with their kicks, the other time with their luggage. Mandir k ghante ki tarah koi idhar se bajaa raha tha, koi udhar se. I have travelled by train so many times but not like this. At last Navankur ki himmat jawab de gayi, he stood up and managed to find a seat, he went there and then hamare liye bhi seat jugaad karne ki koshish karne lage. Finally we all managed to get a seat when it was 2 hours left to get to Delhi. We all were very tired after that tiring but unforgettable journey. We slept for the whole day and not attended any class.

Wo ek aisi yaadgaar raat thi jiska koi record nahi, bas zehen mein hai mere aur un sab logon k jo us raat ka hissaa bane.

JIITU a college or a school ?

I think this is the most common question for every Jiitian. Today i will analyse both the aspects lets first take the reasons which are in favour of JIITU being a "SCHOOL"
1) First and the most important point is we have to wear dress like we used to do in school .

2) We cant keep camera mobile phones with us even in the hostels .

3) We can't even take ragging of our juniours.

4) we have to make tute copies teachers check our copies like it used to be in school.

5) Teacher ask quetions in class as in school.

6) Teacher takes rollcall as in school.

7) We cant play n field before 4:30.

8) We have to mark the attendance at the hostel daily and if we need to leave it on wekends then we need to submit a fax from our parents.

9) Any time they can come to our rooms and scan our pcs and laptops

Reasons which are in favour of JIITU being a "COLLEGE"
1) We can bunk classes and mark proxy, this is other thing that sometimes we get caught and teacher cancels the attendance of whole week.

2) We can go out whenever we want to but before 9:30.

3) We study only at the time of exams.

4) we do have khopchas special place for close friends..lol.

5) You can find couples having fun and siting in the ground in the evening time.

6) We do have mallgodown (gals hostel) :)

7) Teacher dont complain at home about our bad performance in exams.

8) Inspite of checking at hostel we go for nightouts

Now its upto you to decide whether it is a college or school

A batch without gals…..

A batch without gals………..4th yr, A-1 batch or often called as Gay-1 batch, sometimes it is hard to believe that I am studying in a co-education college. We are teacher’s favorite batch, but gals hate us, guys don’t envy of us since there is no gal in our batch. If any of us ever caught while talking to a gal, bas uski to khair nahi. You can find each and every range of pointers from 9-5 in our batch, some are very good programmers while some who even don’t know what they are going to be (Electronics engineer) after completion of B.Tech.
Still there are various advantages of not having a gal in your batch. First of all, you don’t have to bathe regularly. Even if you haven’t had a bath, then you don’t have to split the bottles of expensive deodorants and perfumes on your body. Every morning you don’t have to think whether your uniform is tidy, clean and ironed or not, sometimes even you sleep wearing the uniform, and next day went to the class wearing the same one. You don’t have to waste your time in front of the mirror and get your hair combed properly. You don’t have to think before saying something, whatever comes to your mind; you just expel it out. You don’t have to study hard or work even harder in projects. You don’t have to worry about going to expensive restaurants and pay the bill of the whole group, just to impress someone. You don’t have to take someone out along with her whole group for a movie on every weekend.
There is no show-off at all and no jealousy and envy of any kind amongst us. In my batch “You do whatever you want to do and you are always what you are”.

Janmashtami at JIITU

It's a very good thing that we have a small temple in our college....though it doesn't mean that I go there everyday. It was janmashtmi and the way panditji manages and deceorates the temple was excellent.Lightning everywhere,big speakers and all. All the things which one can expect on that day to make it memorable.Now as usual I wasn't going there but my friends forced me and said ke ladkiyan bhi ayengi..chal to sahi...unhi ki pooja kar lena!!!...theek hai bhai chal diye. So I went there with Bharat and Seemeant...mandir jam packed(even we were not wiling to sit there) mandir ke bahar dari dali gayi(who wanted to sit)....and then The rituals started n everyone there was clapping on the bhajans supportiing each other...suddenly a boy shouted "Govind bolo hari gopal bolo"...bas fir kya tha ...mandir ke bahar bhi ek mandir khul gaya...this slogan was followed by Hathi ghoda palki jai kanahiya lall ki...sabne pooja chodi n then a competiton started thr...and apart from lord krishna students started shoutin Har har mahadev,Ganpatii bappa moriyaa,Radhe Radhee, etc.....suddenly from the crowd somebody shouted "Jor se bolo...."and one of my friend continue it "Jai mata ki".....then finallyy hooting ended by Bharat mata ki jai...then panditji completed the rituals, everyone took the prashad in queue...even on the way to the hostel, people were shouting "Jai shree krishna".On that night girls were also allowed outside the hostel till 12:30 (i think first time in the history of JIIT). All in all it was a wonderful night.....

In hostel day starts after 12 pm.

@12 pm: somebody knocked at my door and shouted "uth jaa nahi to brekfast k saath-saath lunch bhi miss ho jayega". With much difficulty and unease, got up and asked my neighbour "yaar kya bana hai?", (jaise ki agar kuch achha na bana ho to lunch hi nahi karenge) he replied "poori chhole", thats the best thing u can have in JIIT, so jaldi-jaldi taiyaar hua (since it was a holiday so took a bath, otherwise dry cleaning is enough).

@2 pm : After having lunch, again went to sleep (jaise ki exams kal se shuru nahi, kal khatm huye hain).

@5 pm: Atlast woke up and switch on the PC, instantly got a message on IP 'CS server launched', others are also not studying then why should I, so started playing CS.

@7 pm: (ab to 7 baj gaye, thodi der mein dinner ka time ho jayega, ab aakar padenge)in the meantime lets see 1 episode of PB(Prison Break).

@9 pm: After having dinner lets go out for walk to do NSP(Nain Sukh Prapti).

@10 pm: Roaming here and there in the hostel "koi course bata do yaar". After knowing about the course "koi important bata do yaar".

@11 pm: (course bahut jyada hai) lets find someone who can teach me (aur sab kya faaltu baithe hain jo mujhe padhayenge)

@12 am: (Jab haalat jyada kharaab ho gayi) started studying myself ....everything is going above the head( aur hona bhi chahiye, class kabhi gaya nahi aaj tak)

@4 am : But fir bhi anyhow finished the course.....(You must have heard this joke---there were 3 persons, a doctor, a C.A. and an Engineer. They were asked in how much time will they be able to complete 1 whole book. C.A. replied about in 2-3 months, Doctor replied about in a month, but Engineer asked "Exam kab hai") and finally went to sleep.

@8 am: Woke up to revise few things but suddenly my friend came and told me that "this is also coming", all this was getting on my nerves, I left everything whatever i had read last night and started cramming this new thing.......

@9 am: In the examination hall, everything got messed up, Question paper mein sab kuch naya sa lag raha tha, I tried to peep into neighbor's copy but it was also blank(mera to luck hi kharaab hai, kaash kisi 9 pointer k pados mein baitha hota to aaj main bhi 8 pointer hota), invigilator caught me and expelled me out of the hall.

@9:30 am: Still looking cheerful (pata hai zero aayega but kya fark padta hai) ab to aadat si ho gayi hai, question paper faada, t2, t3 mein dekh lenge, baahar 2-3 saath k aur mil gaye, Jam mein mast movie lagi hai, morning show ki ticket bhi mil jayengi, lets go. weekend bhi hai, crowd bhi mast aayega.

Life without Friends

You can survive without air let say for not more than 5 min, you can survive without water may be for 15 days,you can survive without food at the most for 1 month. But the question is can you survive without friends. Lets take it this way there will be no one to talk to you except your parents and relatives. There will be no one to share your secrets , there's no one with whom you can fight. There may be chances that you dont talk for a while but after that your friend will come to you and say "chal be ab nautanki band kar" and will hug you. There will be no one with whom you can laugh without any joke. A friend is the one who calls you with stupid names but still you like that name. A friend is the one who do things which you dont like and you warn them not to do it and still you do it (like i do tickle nikunj) . A friend is the one with whom you can share your sorrow and you can wail on his shoulder. He is the one who help's you without any favor from you in reply even at times when he himself needs help. He is the one who knows your likes and dislikes better than you but still he never misses a chance to tease you. He is the one who knows that you are hiding any thing. He is the one with whom you can be yourself. With friends life is so colourful and without them there are no colours at all. You can imagine that how miserable your life's gonna be without friends. Now it depends on you how much time you can survive without friends, but i cant even survive for a second.

they plant these bombs all around

and then we hear noices of all kinds

so much of misery , so much of destruction

why do people die ?

Have they done anything wrong

terrible . m gonna share one of my such experience with you .... a moment of relentless tickling ...

It was on the late evening of 3rd sem... I jus happened to enter gaurav's room ..
Navankur was also there..we all were jus chatting n having fun, suddenly i donno what happened to both of them...they both started tickling me...I started feeling a sensation of tickling on ma feet and ribs..gaurav was tightly holding my legs ...i was just laughing and situation was totally out of my control .. I was just moving my arms and legs here and there..many a times i got hit by the wooden rack and wall..they were all over me exploring my sensational areas :D...at one moment i was on the bed and the other on the floor they were enjoying it so much that i thought they were not goin to stop doing this...and side by side nav was shooting the moment on the cam..

This thing has happend many a times in our group and the prey was alaways(Guess whoo) ... me n only me...Why me?

Sometimes its seems as if these guyz are going to tickle me and wheneva i sence that ,i have that feeling of fear and uneasyness and ultimately reminds me of tht eve and makes me laugh !!!!

Bajrang Dal in JIITU

Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena, RSS yes as we all know these are well known organisations. All these parties are against the western culture for the upliftment of hinduisam. I m not going to tell about the work of these parties but i got the news from my trustworthy sources that all these parties are going to open their branch in our college. All there parties are selecting there members and we got the news that members of Bajrang Dal have already been selected. And they have already started their activities Shiv Sena is also in the line. Now the question arises why these parties are here. No they are not here for votes, they are here to supress the prevailing western culture. Yesterday there was a news of activities of Bajrang dal. One of the member of Bajrang Dal K*****z told me yesterday that they have started a movement against the couples that sit in questionable posture on benches or in the oat or anywhere in the ground in the evening. To make there movement more strong they have decided to have their dinner soon so that they can be there in field from 7:45 PM onwards when the number of couples is highest in the field. So couples watchout for these bunch of guys roaming around in dark and lommy khopchas of JIITU. They might be the suspected members of JP Bajrang Dal. We have our sources keeping an eye on their each every activity and we will keep you inform about the latest news related to their activities.

now i lay here thinking about this

do these girls really deserve it

lemme see n realise can this be justified

being an engineer i do know

a microcontroller is like so so so ......

pages of utter crap

followed by data sheets

and all kinds of things which u don really wanna read

but still if u go through this with full dedication

its definate u'll be sure about most of the things

so u can learn a microcontroller

and make it run on your commands

to do wateva you wish it to do

and then you can always reconfigure it tooo

now lemme get back to girls -

a girl is like

a few feet high

beautifull eyes ,nice hair and a pretty good smile

she's is the symbol of beauty n love

she can be peacefull n yet so destructive

you try to learn what's there on her mind

you think its this but its always that

you can't programme her

but you have to follow her

now you must be wondering

yes girls do deserve it

but i must tell you pal

its all a shit !!!!

these girls are gift of god

they give us inspiration

The Bet

This is one of the most memorable moments that happened to me in college .We were in 3rd semester and as usual we (me ,navankur, mabbo) went to cafe .It was monday and usually on mondays pizzas were available in cafe. At that time I was very much fond of pizzas.so I had a pizza and a coldrink(500ml).I enjoyed it very much till the last bite. While we were about to return suddenly navankur challenged me "if you are a real punjabi then eat 2 more pizzas". And mabbo ne as usual aag mein ghee ka kam kiya,bas "PUNJABI" suna and it blocked my mind ab to sare punjabiyan di izzat mere hath mein thi so i got excited and accepted the challenge.Finally we had a bet that I will eat 2 more pizzas and nav will pay for pizzas and will give me Rs.50 more. He went and brought 2 pizzas, I enjoyed the firstone as "The first blow is half the battle", I was sure that am gonna win the bet. But when it came to second one I was just throwing it into my stomach it was really terribleas i was almost full n top of that the pizza was burnt from back side.But I had to eat it as per the bet.And somehow I managed to eat the pizzass and won the bet for the time being but in reality I lost because pretty soon my stomach started aching and I coundn't sleep for that whole night and i had to reserve the toilet for three days as there may be emergency call anytime.Everybody was laughing and teasing me by saying "beta aur khale pizza" after that I made a confession to myself ki navankur and mabbo ki baaton mein kabhi nahi aana aur apni akal lagana.
so the moral of the story is "josh josh mein hosh nahi khona chahiye","You aren't rewarded for having brains, you're rewarded for using them".

10 Seconds Rule

One night I was having a home made Laddoo (its like a nectar for a hosteller) in my hand & I was about to eat it, but accidently it fell off from my hand. I felt so miserable. All my friends started laughing at me since it was the last Laddoo. Saale sab aise dikha dikha kar kha rahe the n I was just begging “thoda sa to de do yaar plzzz” but hota kya maine aaj tak kabhi kisiko nahi diya to mujhe bhi nahi milna tha.

The same must have happened with you some or the other time if u have ever been a hosteller

The next day I happened to be talking 2 my cousin who’s from IITB, he suggested me a “10 Seconds Rule”, to be followed if anything like this happens again in future (their group used to follow the same). According to this rule, if something falls down on the floor in the hostel and if u pick it up before next 10 seconds, then its not at all dirty n u can have it without any problem. The idea was very innovative & certainly very very effective. Many of us started following this rule n we can now save our food (Home made) stuff from getting wasted n ofcourse khilli bhi nahi udti.

This is our first experience at blogging. We don’t really know how to start of with this……..so let us do one thing let we start wid an introduction bout the members of the group…Let us tell u how we all came together. Chalo lets start wid the most senior member he is none other than Navankur Gupta from Karera. I say senior becoz till our 2^nd year we din knew how much senior he was but let us clarify here he is just 85 born ohhhkkkk!!!. Navankur Gupta for others but “killer” for us all thanxx to Counter Strike for that bloody name, but let us tell you he is killer it doesn’t means he used to kill other bt he used to be free frag for others. Chalo jokes apart now lemme tell you something about him he is a through gentleman a perfect blend of “gaon ka chora” and “sehri babu”. Then nobody can dare to challenge his intelligence and ladka helpful bhi hai…overall sahi hai lekin hai ye hamre baniya “bhaiyaa jee”.

Nikunj Jain :

HOSHIYAR KHABARDAAR kyunki ab aa raha hai ‘Leeeeee………’ from ‘shyamleee’.Ya ya parents ne bade pyaar se Nikunj Jain naam rakha tha but who knew ki kahan pahunchega ye.See everybody knows about ‘Lee Cooper’ and all but it has no relation with that. This simply means that yeh har jagah marwata rehta hai & means that koi bhi iski le leta hai so he’s one & only Leee…..Now to tell u more about him he is not at all Intelligent like most of us. The whole college knows him becoz of his 1 quality i.e.Sleeping nywhere, netime aur u can say that everywhere n everytime, that’s his lifestyle in college. We wont get into his personal life but he is d most irresponsible but yet he managed robotics club for one full year and took it to new heights….kudozzzz……….to Lee for that…ohkkk so in short he is very confused, very innovative always willing to do something new and yet he is an a*****e…..cuz …….!!!!his smile always motivates us ki koi hamari kitni bhi le le but humein hamesha hanste rehna chahiye ….dont woriiiis be happiiiiiissssss……….

Now moving on to “Mabbo” aka “Abhishek” aka “…………” now that’s not how you pronounce it … it’s like the most sharif HarAmi laUnda of our group.Kuch galat kaha kya ???...hav U heard that line “Shakal pe mat jao apni AkAl lagaoo…”.We don’t know whether this is applicable to the one for which it was written but it seems like this one is applicable to Mabbo, N every1 will agree with me. Mabbo is very cute (so Some peoPle ?? call him “aAmir khan”) a guy from city of scindhiya’s “Gwalior”. Pretty smart , humble and a polite(!!!) person. I would say a guy next door. After visiting so many places & knowing about 4 of us lets come to Delhi. Yeah!!! the only Delhiite in our group, With no hint of being a delhiite. $immy.......seems to be a gals name but hey hey hey there is no place for ne gal in our group. Seemant yadav aka simmy---cool, fun loving guy with a heart full of haramipana. Alwaz busy in chatting wid gals, roaming around them n wid them n wid them, but saale se patati koi nahi. Iska khud ki smile par koi control nahi hai,andar ki baat chhupana bahut chahta hai but sab baahar aa jata hai, thnx to his smile.
